LPG Metering Station

An LPG Metering Station (often written as "LPG metering station") is a critical component in liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) distribution systems. It is used to measure, monitor, and regulate the flow of LPG, typically in pipeline transportation, storage depots, industrial plants, or at transfer points between supplier and consumer.

Main Components of an LPG Metering Station

1. Flow Meter:

  • o Measures the volume or mass of LPG passing through the system.
  • o Common types: Turbine, Coriolis, Ultrasonic, or PD (Positive Displacement) meters.

2. Strainers/Filters:

  • o Remove particulates to protect downstream equipment and ensure accurate metering.

3. Control Valves:

  • o Regulate the flow and pressure of LPG in the pipeline.

4. Safety Valves/Relief Valves:

  • o Prevent overpressure situations, enhancing safety.
